@tkeffer1 Just point the domain somewhere else — to another service or server.

Hello, how about just the opposite removing your own domain from iWeb?
February 5th, 2012 at 2:34 pm
@goncalez100 I can't link to it (no links in YouTube comments). But if you search Google for "godaddy redirect w w w" you'll find the solution.

@macmostvideo my registrar is Godaddy where is this setting? please help
February 5th, 2012 at 3:25 pm
@goncalez100 Depends on your registrar. Many have a setting to allow you to forward the non-w w w domain to the w w w one. You have to find that setting.

February 5th, 2012 at 5:23 pm
@DavisHoffman Right. It does. But you can set up things with your DNS provider to map the non-w w w domain with www

@daveg2k4 You can't run PHP scripts like WordPress on MobileMe, so you can't do that at all.

@Fabianarcos95 That's the idea behind the personal domain setting in MobileMe — to point a domain to the site hosted at MobileMe.

Do need To get domain hosting for the website or not or will MobileMe be my web host

@mahadeehassan You should make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store. I'm sure they'll be happy to help.

@ZappedTV After it when? Not sure what your question is in reference to.
February 6th, 2012 at 12:56 am
@princejack Not sure what you mean. Yes, you can use all MobileMe/iWeb features if you have a MobileMe account. But all of those features are also available on most other Web server solutions as well.

I understand that only mobileme allows some iWeb features to work. Such as the 'Hit Counter', 'Leaving comments for blogs', 'Blog search'. So, by forwarding the domain name to me.com, does that mean I can finally use iWeb features? Thanks!
